The “Phra Yod Khun Pon Ban Khai” amulets, created in B.E. 2552 (2009) by Luang Por Sakorn Manunyo from Wat Nong Grub, are among the most sought-after amulets by his disciples and collectors. They are renowned for their exquisite artistry, sacred materials, and powerful consecration rituals, especially known for their charm, commanding presence, and status elevation qualities. Luang Por Sakorns amulets have come to be of the most popular lines of amulets of the present day, with his Khun Phaen amulets going for higher prices than many other well known amulets that are much much older. This is due to the results which many people have had from wearing and making Bucha to LP Sakorn's magic charms, and many reports of amazing success have caused his amulets to be in extreme demand.
The entire batch was consecrated solely by Luang Por Sakorn himself, without inviting other monks. The ritual followed the exact formulas and invocations inherited from Luang Pu Tim. This ensured the amulets carried the full power of the original lineage. The ceremony likely took place shortly after the Kathina robe offering of B.E. 2552, held either at Wat Nong Grub or nearby. While no other monks were officially listed, the energy invoked followed the methods of Luang Pu Tim and Luang Pu Hin—focusing primarily on Maha Amnaj (great commanding power) and invulnerability blessings.
The materials used in the creation of this amulet series are considered the "ultimate" collection of auspicious and sacred items that Luang Por Sakorn had preserved for a long time. They consisted of:
Key Sacred Materials:
Materials from Guru Monks and Important Ceremonies:
Mystical Materials and Auspicious Herbs:
All these materials were meticulously blended according to ancient traditions to achieve the highest Buddhist blessings in all aspects.
List of Amulets in the "Pra Yod Khun Pol Ban Khai" Series, B.E. 2552
The amulets created on this occasion came in various forms:
1. Pra Yod Khun Pol Ban Khai This is the main amulet of the series, featuring beautiful Buddhist art. It depicts a Buddha meditating in the Maravijaya (subduing Mara) posture within a glass arch, symbolizing victory over all obstacles. It conveys meanings of great power and majesty.
2. Pra Khun Paen Phong Prai Kuman Although the series name is "Yod Khun Pol," Pra Khun Paen amulets were also created according to Luang Pu Tim's tradition, which had always brought fame to Luang Por Sakorn.
3. Look Om Phong Prai Kuman These amulets used the most concentrated sacred materials, shaped into round balls without a fixed form, making them easy to carry.
4. Maha Saneh Beeswax (See Pheung Maha Saneh) Contained in varying sizes of small containers. This beeswax was cooked and consecrated by Luang Por Sakorn according to ancient traditions, mixed with various auspicious materials.
5. Chuchok Maha Lap Created in the form of Chuchok, a symbol of excellent "begging" for good fortune.
6. Yant Cloth (Phay Yant) Various types of Yant cloths were created, such as Phay Yant Pad Bok, Phay Yant Mae Nang Kwak, Phay Yant Narai Song Krut, etc.
7. Monk Coin (Rian Khanachan) Regarding "Monk Coins" in this B.E. 2552 series, in-depth information indicates that the primary creations of the "Pra Yod Khun Pol Ban Khai" series focused mainly on "powder-based" amulets, namely Pra Yod Khun Pol, Pra Khun Paen, and Look Om. Any coins released in B.E. 2552 might have been for other occasions not directly part of the "Yod Khun Pol Ban Khai" set, or if created, they were in very small numbers and not as widely publicized as the powder amulets.

For these reasons, the "Pra Yod Khun Pol Ban Khai" amulet series remains highly sought after by disciples and devotees to this day, and is truly considered one of the "good things" that Luang Por Sakorn compassionately created and left behind on this land.
Luang Por Sakorn Manunyo, birth name Sakorn Phairam, was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1938, in Ban Tai Thung, Nong Bua Subdistrict, Ban Khai District, Rayong Province. He was the sixth of eight siblings.
From a young age, he closely followed the activities at Wat Nong Grub. Upon turning 20, he was ordained on June 4, 1958, at Wat Nong Grub, receiving the Dhamma name "Manunyo." His preceptors were:
The greatest turning point in his spiritual path was when he became a disciple of Luang Pu Tim Isariko of Wat Lahan Rai—renowned across Thailand for the famed Phra Khun Paen Pong Prai Kumarn amulets. Through humble dedication and sharp intellect, Luang Por Sakorn learned the sacred arts thoroughly, especially the creation and consecration of Prai Kumarn powders—becoming one of the few monks to fully master this art directly under his teacher.
He also studied under Luang Pu Peng Sasano of Wat Lahan Yai, a spiritual companion of Luang Pu Tim who specialized in inscribing the powerful “Na-like scythe” yantra, known for invulnerability magic.
Luang Por Sakorn used all his training to develop Wat Nong Grub and assist the local community. He passed away peacefully on September 18, 2013, at the age of 75 with 55 years in the sangha.
Located in Nong Bua Subdistrict, Ban Khai District, Rayong, Wat Nong Grub began as a small local temple. Under the leadership of Luang Por Sakorn, it grew significantly with the construction of a new ubosot (ordination hall), sermon hall, monk quarters, and crematorium, becoming a spiritual center for the Ban Khai community.
This amulet series was officially commissioned in B.E. 2552 (2009) to fund temple renovations. What makes it particularly profound is the personal consecration by Luang Por Sakorn—a three-month solo ritual invoking the full power of the lineage he received from Luang Pu Tim.
The amulets were empowered through sacred muan sarn ingredients with a supreme combination of magical and holy substances, including:
The 2009 series stands out as a supreme sacred creation combining Buddhist artistry, powerful materials, and solo consecration. Key metaphysical benefits include:
Today, this series remains in high demand by faithful followers and collectors and is regarded as one of Luang Por Sakorn’s most auspicious contributions to the spiritual heritage of eastern Thailand.
