The "Tewada Riding a Himapant Lion" Medal, part of the commemorative edition "รุ่นที่ระลึก ๗๐ พรรษา หลวงพ่อสาคร วัดหนองกรับ", is a sacred item of immense spiritual and historical significance. Created to honor the 70th birthday of Luang Por Sakorn Manunyano in 2551 BE (2008 CE), this amulet embodies the profound spiritual legacy of one of Thailand's most revered Buddhist masters. The medal, along with other sacred items in the edition, represents Luang Por Sakorn’s dedication to his followers and his mastery in creating powerful talismans imbued with blessings, protection, and prosperity.
Luang Por Sakorn was a highly respected monk from Wat Nong Krub in Rayong Province, Thailand. He was a direct disciple of the legendary Luang Por Tim Isarigo, the creator of the famous Kun Paen Pong Prai Kumarn amulets. Luang Por Sakorn inherited the sacred knowledge and rituals of his teacher, making him one of the foremost masters in the creation of Thai Buddhist amulets. His ability to imbue amulets with spiritual energy through meticulous consecration ceremonies has earned him widespread admiration among devotees and collectors.
The 70th birthday commemorative edition reflects his lifelong dedication to spreading blessings and spiritual protection to his followers. Immediately following his ordination, in a move that would define his entire life, Luang Por Sakorn was sent by his parents to Wat Laharn Rai to serve and study under Luang Pu Thim Issarikō. Luang Pu Thim, who was famously discerning and rarely accepted students, recognized in the young monk an unwavering determination and a profound capacity for spiritual practice. He accepted Luang Por Sakorn as his personal apprentice.

For years, Luang Por Sakorn dedicated himself to the rigorous training regimen set by his master. This involved not just the study of Dhamma and Vinaya but also the arduous practice of meditation and the memorization and inscription of countless yantras and kathā (incantations). Luang Pu Thim transmitted his complete body of knowledge to Luang Por Sakorn, holding nothing back. This included the most guarded and dangerous of his sciences: the Wichā Sang Phong Phrāi Kumān (วิชาสร้างผงพรายกุมาร), the method for creating the sacred Phrāi Kumān powder. Luang Pu Thim is said to have prophesied that Luang Por Sakorn was the only one who could successfully inherit and continue his lineage.
While his foundation was firmly rooted in the teachings of Luang Pu Thim, Luang Por Sakorn’s thirst for knowledge led him to study with other great masters of the era, further enriching his spiritual arsenal. At Luang Pu Thim’s own recommendation, he studied with Luang Pu Hin of Wat Nong Sanom, a master of Ruesi traditions. His quest for knowledge also took him across borders, studying with adepts in Myanmar (in 2503 B.E.) and Cambodia (in 2518 B.E.). He also exchanged knowledge with many revered Thai masters, including Luang Por Koon Parisuttho of Wat Ban Rai (in 2526 B.E.). This diverse education made him a singularly accomplished master of a wide spectrum of Buddhist esoteric arts.

The "Run tee Raleuk 70 OPansa" edition was released in 2551 BE to commemorate Luang Por Sakorn’s 70th birthday. This special edition included a diverse range of sacred items, each crafted with precision and consecrated in an elaborate ceremony at Wat Nong Krub. The items were designed to serve specific spiritual purposes, such as protection, prosperity, charisma, and kindness, while also celebrating the legacy of Luang Por Sakorn’s teachings and practices.

The process included chanting sacred incantations, meditation, and invoking deities to empower the amulets with spiritual energy. This meticulous process ensures that the medal serves as a potent talisman for its bearer, offering protection, blessings, and spiritual upliftment.

Brief Background on Luang Por Sakorn Manunyo:
Luang Por Sakorn Manunyo of Wat Nong Krab and Luang Por Sin Phattajaro of Wat Lahan Yai were both direct disciples of Luang Pu Tim Isarigo of Wat Lahan Rai. Although they were of similar age, Luang Por Sakorn passed away earlier. He passed away peacefully on September 18, 2013, at 12:15 AM, at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 15 days, having completed 55 years in the monkhood.

The rear face has the sacred Yant Look Om of Luang Phu Tim (Wat Laharn Rai) emblazoned upon the surface, also called the 'Yant Pra Putta Jao 5 Pra Ongk', which is embossed in raised relief on the rear face of the amulet.

Luang Por Sakorn was the Prime Looksit and Apprentice in Buddha magic to the Great Luang Phu Tim of Wat Laharn Rai, and is the living continuation of the Lineage Masters of the Pra Khun Phaen Prai Kumarn Wicha of Luang Phu Tim, Wat Laharn Rai. In the living memory of Thai Buddhist masters and the sacred arts of amulet creation, few figures command as much reverence as Phra Khru Manūññadhammavat (พระครูมนูญธรรมวัตร), known universally as Luang Por Sakorn Manunyo (หลวงพ่อสาคร มนูญโญ, 1938-2013 A.D.).

As the erstwhile abbot of Wat Nong Grub (วัดหนองกรับ) in Ban Khai District, Rayong Province, his name is inextricably linked to the preservation and continuation of one of the most potent esoteric lineages of the modern era: that of his master, the legendary Luang Pu Thim Issarikō (หลวงปู่ทิม อิสริโก) of Wat Laharn Rai.
