A Rare complete set of the Chud 3 Rian Pra Gaew Morakot - Emerald Buddha in tri-seasonal robes and regalia - three coin amulet set from the 2525 BE Bicentennial Ratanakosin Era Memorial Edition, of Wat Pra Sri Radtana Sasadaram (Temple of the Emerald Buddha)
The amulets were released in the Run Chalong 200 Pi Ratanakosin' (200th Anniversary of Ratanakosin Era) - Wat Pra Sri Ratana Sasadaram 2525 BE Ceremony at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
The amulets were blessed and empowered in a Massive Buddha Abhiseka Blessing Ceremony with over 100 Guru Masters of the Era present to perform empowerment.
The set is of immense National importance for Thai Buddhists, for the Buddha it represents, the blessings of the King, and its Historical Significance. The amulets were made in three different seasonal dresses, which is a Tradition held in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, to change the robes adroning the Buddha as each season passes, Rainy, Hot and Cold Seasons.

The round winter robed Buddha coin is made from Nuea Loha Rom Dam Blackened Sacred Iron Alloy. The Buddha is flanked by two Bai Sri Cones. and has a conch at the bottom of the throne dais.
2. Rian Pra Gaew Morakot Song Krueang Ruedu Rorn (Emerald Buddha in Summer Robes)
Size; 3 x 2.5 Cm
The oval Summer Robed model is made from Nuea Tong Daeng Phiw Fai Flamed Sacred Copper Alloy. The Buddha wears a pointed Chada crown.
3. Rian Pra Gaew Morakot Song Krueang Ruedu Fon (Emerald Buddha in Rainy Season Robes)
Size: 3 x 2.2 Cm
The Rainy Season Robed Buddha coin is shaped like a teardrop, with Ganok flame decorative borders, and wears the Civara Robe. The coin is made from Nea Nava Loha.
The rear face of all three coins has the Bor Por Ror (Pra Racha Sata) Insignia, symbol and official stamp of the Faith of the Royalty in the edition.

The Rian Pra Gaew Morakot set was made once previously to this edition was made in the year 2524 BE (first edition) which was made without the Bor Por Ror Insignia on the rear face. That edition was blessed on the 13th July 2524 BE, with His Majesty King Bhumipol Adulyadej (Rama 9) presiding over the initiation of the ceremony.
More than a Hundred Master Guru Monks of the Era attended the massive and Official State Ceremony of Putta Pisek Blessing, to perform their Incantations and Empowerments. The coin was included in the 'Pra Racha Piti Sompote Krung Ratanakosin 200 Pi' (Royal Ceremony to Celebrate 200 Years of Ratanakosin Era).
His Majesty then gave permission to create this edition for the Ratanakosin Celebrations, but to put his official Bor Por Ror stamp on the rear faces to differentiate them, and to give his blessing to the edition. An empowerment Buddha Abhiseka was held on the 9th december 2524 BE to give the amulets their initial Blessing before the Ratanakosin Ceremony.
The Final Ratanakosin Ceremony was held on the 6th April 2525 BE, all over the City, with Royal Permission to celebrate, which was requested by Prime Minister Brem Tinsulanon at the palace, and accepted. The celebration at Wat Pra Sri Ratana Sasadaram was only one of various celebrations held in different momumental locations of Bangkok.
The Temple of the Emerald Buddha was one of the various locations included in the anniversary celebrations due to the fact that it is an important temple of the Ratanakosin Era, and also to celebrate the completion of a five year refurbishment program, begun in 2520 BE by Somdej Pra Tep Ratana Rachasuda Siam Boroma Racha Kumaree, which was finished in 2525 BE at the same time as the Anniversary celebration.

he previous day alms were given to the Sangha as a preliminary on the 5th April, and then on the 6th April 2525 the Brahman Kroo Masters and performers of the Ministry of Classical Arts performed a reading of the Poem Sud Dee Pra Put Maha Mani Ratana Patimakorn. This was accompanied by the three stringed 'Sor' Thai Classic Instrument, with Bai Sri offerings and a 'Wian Tian' (walk around the Uposadha Shrine room three times holding a candle).
After the preliminaries were performed then the monks entered into the Uposadha to chant the Buddha Abhiseka (Dhamma Chakra), and 'Nang Prok' (sit in meditative empowerment), and the amulets were blessed and distributed.
