Although this looks like a Modern Locket, the Ba Cha Dta is Originally a form of Khun Phaen Maha Saneh type amulet, and in fact many editions of Khun Phaen amulet have been called 'Ba Cha Dta'. It is therefore also a Variation of the Paetch Payatorn Deity too (Taewada Hlong Hong).

This particular Locket is of the Ba-Cha-Dta Deity. The front face features a naked Man and a Woman embracing in a sexual posture, gazing into each others eyes. Ancient Khmer magical incantations and spells are inscribed around the edge of the front face.

The sacred powders of the rear face are full of powerful magical pollens and herbs, such as Wan Saw Hlong, Wai Paya Gai Daeng, Wan Joong Nang, Wan Dork Tong, Wan Saen Nang Lorm (100 thousand ladies surrounding), Wan Krua Saw Hlong, and Pong Saneh Ya Faed powder.
