Kim Tong Deva is the child of the Bodhisattva Mae Guan Im (Kwan Yin) - he was born from being a higher Deva of the Celestial realms, whose accumulated merits had been more or less already consummated, and he was to descend and be reborn on earth as a human. But due to merits he had made during his many lifetimes, as ha passed down through the various levels of the Celestial realms towards his birth on earth, he happened to pass within the sight of the Bodhisattva Mae Kwan Yin. The Bodhisattva had descended to dispel suffering of her disciples, and those with Karmic Connections to her, and the Kim Tong Deva, who was descending to be born as a human, was able to beseech the Kwan Yin Bodhisattva to be her Son. This blessing permitted the Deva to evade birth on earth as a human, and was born as the son of Kwan in instead as 'Miw Sui Kim Tong'.
Kroo Ba Kam Bpeng Invoked the Kim Tong, and convinced it to send its Mental presence to assist, and partly dwell within the amulets, and to serve the devotees who wear them by lessening their sufferings through protecting, increasing their wealth, luck and bringing the causes of general happiness. The invocations of the 4 elements and the Akarn 32 were recited, and the Piti Riak Jidt Dern Tat was performed to call the minds of the Prai Devas into the amulets, and to bring them to life within through the turning of the 4 elements, and the awakening of the elemental forces.
Kwan Yin asked the Kim Tong Child Deva then to please devote a few Aeons with her to assist in reducing the sufferings of Humans, and to bestow blessings upon them and pass on the benefits of merits to them, to raise them up from their sufferings with wealth, health, long life and happiness.
Kwan Yin is an East Asian deity of mercy, and a bodhisattva associated with compassion as venerated by Mahayana Buddhists. The name Guanyin is short for Guanshiyin, which means "Perceiving the Sounds (or Cries) of the World". She is also sometimes referred to as Guanyin Bodhisattva (Chinese: 觀音菩薩). Some Buddhists believe that when one of their adherents departs from this world, they are placed by Guanyin in the heart of a lotus, and then sent to the western pure land of Sukhāvatī. Kwan Yin is also written as 'Guānyīn', and is an emanaton of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.

Kwan Yin and Avalokiteshvara (Wikipedia Excerpt)
The word 'Guānyīn', is a translation from the Sanskrit Avalokiteshvara, referring to the Mahāyāna bodhisattva of the same name. Another later name for this bodhisattva is Guānzìzài (simplified Chinese: 观自在; traditional Chinese: 觀自在; pinyin: Guānzìzài).
It was initially thought that the Chinese mis-transliterated the word Avalokiteśvara as Avalokitasvara which explained why Xuanzang translated it as Guānzìzài instead of Guānyīn. However, the original form was indeed Avalokitasvara with the ending svara ("sound, noise"), which means "sound perceiver", literally "he who looks down upon sound" (i.e., the cries of sentient beings who need his help).
This is the exact equivalent of the Chinese translation Guānyīn. This etymology was furthered in the Chinese by the tendency of some Chinese translators, notably Kumarajiva, to use the variant Guānshìyīn, literally "he who perceives the world's lamentations"—wherein lok was read as simultaneously meaning both "to look" and "world" (Skt. loka; Ch. 世, shì).
Direct translations from the Sanskrit name Avalokitasvara include: Chinese: Guanyin (觀音), Guanshiyin (觀世音).
