The Mai Kroo Paya Ngiw Dam is a magic wand made and blessed by the great Luang Por Prohm of Wat Ban Suan. The magic wand is hand carved from holy wood of a very rare and sacred tree, which is believed to have a deva inhabiting it. This particular tree is normally white in color with large spines all over its bark. However, one in every 100,000 of these trees comes out in a black color; this is the mai paya ngiw dam black holy wood used for making this magic wand.
Luang Por Prohm's devotees donated the holy wood to the temple of Wat Ban Suan. The wood was carefully preserved and given empowerments by Luang Por Prohm. He consecrated the magic wand using holy prayer water and invocations. This also illustrates the practical purpose of a magic wand, for it is a ritual instrument that can be used for various ritual practices, such as making holy water, performing excorcisms, spell casting, and even healing.
There are endless possibilities for which the holy water made with the magic wand can be used. For instance, one can immerse sacred objects in the holy water to increase its magic qualities. Or one could spray the holy water onto one's wares and goods to increase sales. Furthermore, the efficacy of holy water is also very useful for healing practices. And, of course, holy water has great powers of protection.
How to Make Holy Water ('Nam Montr')
Luang Por Prohm performed hand inscriptions with sacred Khom Agkhara spells upon the Mai Kroo Paya Ngiw Dam. Thus, the mai kroo are individually blessed, after which the ritual instruments also received magic spell inscriptions by the hands of Luang Por Prohm himself. Moreover, the magic wands made by Luang Por Prohm are endowed with Khee Bpen Khee Dtaay sorcery of the Khao Or lineage. This form of magic allows the wand to be used for neutralizing negative energies by placing the head of the wand onto a person or object, and then to release these negative influences from the the tip of the wand.
Since the sacred ritual instruments of Luang Por Prohm are made and blessed according the authentic wicha of the Dtamnak Dtak Sila Khao Or Southern Academy of Sorcery, his items are therefore the number one choice of the devout practitioner of ritual magic.
Apart from several different kinds of magic wands, this edition also included various amulets, ritual daggers, holy prayer water bowls, and individual pieces of lek lai. Indeed, the wide variety of items produced by the famous Khao Or masters and released by the Wat Ban Suan temple are all considered extremely sacred objects for ritual use. It is therefore a unique opportunity to obtain some of the valuable pieces from this edition, for they are very rare indeed.
A Buddhist wand such as this is also popular among Healers and Reiki practitioners, who use it for removing bad energies, channelling the flow within the chakras, and for transmitting pranaenergies. However, worshippers of devas, the Earth Mother, or elemental forces, will use the magic wand to channel those forces, and to imbue objects with those elemental powers and forces.
