The Flame Tree has many types in South east asia and the Southern Hemisphere, Africa and India, but this particular type is rare and peculiar to India and the South East Asian Subcontinent. It is of the Erythrina family of plants, and has a very Pungent and Notable Aroma. Rather like that of a Lily, if perhaps slightly less inhibiting.

This Incense is commonly used for offering to Devas and Higher Deities, and also to Prai Devas and Spirit Ghosts. Nature Spirits and Fairies will take kindly to such an offering. It is used by Thai Chinese for praying to the Kwan Yin or Tara Bodhisattva, who is indeed pictured on the label.

12.5 Inches long, the sticks are very slim, but emit a very rich and pervasive Aromas of Agar. The sticks burn for a very long time (about one hour or more), and give off very little smoke. .

This type of Scent is Reccomendable for Aromatherapy and Home Use, as well as for Spiritual Prayer and Offerings. Not suitable for Meditation.

For giving as offerings to carry Buddhist prayers to Heaven, use 3, 5, or 9 sticks to Pray with in most circumstances. If praying to spirits or Ghosts, use one stick. We do not recommend using more than 3 sticks at a time indoors with this Incense as its aroma is relatively strong and sweet smelling like fruit.
