This is a nice piece of Puttanissadti from the Jatakas (ten last lives of Buddha), for Choo Chok is a famous character from the life of Prince Vessantara (a previous incarnation of the Buddha).

Choo Chok was a travelling beggar who too care of the prince Vessantaras (Lord Buddha in a past life) children. Choo Chok became a very rich man in the story, and is a Deity of rags to riches. Choo Chok is the Deity of Hope for poor people who wish to be rich.

Luang Phu Pan Gowito (official name 'Pra Kroo Nirudtitammasarn) is a Master Guru Monk from the Northern Lanna tradition, who is now resident in Nakorn Sawan. He is a very beloved MOnk with a reputation for having very much Metta.

Some devotees went to ask Luang Phu Phan about it and he simply answered 'Oh that is Choo Chok - we are friends'.

He sits every evening in his Kuti and meditates and talks with the Deities, learning Wicha from them. He say6s that Choo Chok is easy to ask for things from, and rewards come easily, for Choo Chok is very generous. He also says that he looks in his meditations at the World, and sees that although it is in a very bad state right now, it is going to get even worse. So he made the Pha Yant Choo Chok Nang Ballangk (sitting on a throne). This is not a normal Choo Chok Yantra, because of this.

Choo Chok functions in this spell as the bridge to Prawessandorn (Prince Vessantara, a past life of Lord Buddha, in which the Buddha completed the perfection of Giving). Through Choo Chok we can call upon prince Vessantara for hs generosity and ask for things. Both Vessantara and Choo Chok were full of merit in their ability, for these reasons;
Due to the beggar Choo Chok coming along and asking Vessantara for his children (tantamount to asking for his own blood), Vessantara agreed and attaina 'Maha Dhana' the ultimate level of non attachment to possessions and ultimate generosity, and was able to attain Buddhahood in his next lifetime. Secondly, the fact that Vessantara gave his own child to Choo Chok, shows that the Choke Lap lucky Aura of Choo Chok enabled him to be able to ask for and obtain anything he wanted, even able to convince others to give away their own children!

So Choo Chok can even ask to sit on the Throne of a King if he wants, and his wish will be conceded. He does not have to wander around anymore if he doesnt want to, and money flows in without any exertion.

This particular example is a very unusual and artistic design which stands out from the average Choo Chok illustrations.
