Make Bucha Offerings and Chanting every Thursday

There is a story behind the creation of this Bucha statue; Towards the end of the year before (just before the Bangkok Floods), there was a young man wo dreamed that a Lersi hermit God appeared (paetchalugan), and told him he must make a statue in the image of the Lersi. The Lersi was dressed and appeared as we see in the statue, and began dancing a beautiful dance, as gold and silver rings fell from the sky, as if his dance was calling the treasures down from Heaven. The boy did not take much notice of the dream, for he did not believe it was more than a dream. But after a few days he was bestricken with a strange illness and his hands and feet became paralyzed. His feet and hans also throbbed and ached, and his Parents did not know what to do. The one evening, his Mother lit incense to the Devas, and fell asleep. She dreamt that the Hermit God Paetchalugan came to her, and spoke;

"I want your son to sculpt a statue in my image as i appeared to him, and to you. But your son does not believe i am real. Tomorrow your son must light incense to me and ask forgiveness, and then promise to begin sculpting my image as a scupture. If he does so, his paralysis will disappear. Once the statue is made, someone will come to take it".

The next morning the boy's Mother told the story to the boy, whgo then finally believed, and lit incense, to ask forgiveness to Leri Paetchalugan. His Paralysis faded and disappeared, and he made the statue as promised. Once the statue was made, the boy did not know what to do next with it, and still did not even know the name of the Lersi statue. Because he did not know the name of Paetchalugan nor which lersi Hermit God this was, the boy simply offered flower garlands over a period of one year to the statue.

Then in this year of 2555 BE, Luang Por Choo called his closest Devotees and asked them if he remembered rightly that there used to be a restaurant by the roadside in the town that took commissions to sculp Buddha and Deity images once in a while, and if the place still existed?. One of the Looksit (devotees) remembered a place in Nontaburi that fitted the description, and Luang Por then asked the Looksit if he could go and check, to ask if they had ever made a Lersi statue at all in the past?

He said that he did not want a new one, rather was looking for one that was already made, and not sold. The Looksit was told that if there was a Lersi statue there that had been stood around unsold, that they should take it and bring it to Luang Por Choo. Luang Por told the Looksit to tell them that Lersi Paetchalugan had sent them to ask for it.

The Devotees took some money from their bank, in case the statue was there. As they arrived, they encountered the sculptor, and they asked him according to Luang Por's Instructions. the sculptor said he had made one somewhere quite some time ago long before the Bangkok Floods, but did not know if it would be usable or not. The Looksit then said that the Lersi Paetchalugan had told Luang Por Choo to come and ask for it, and use ot for the purpose of building and repairing the Temple.

As the sculptor heard this, the sculptor was instantly struck by the Paralysis he had been struck with as he met the lersi hermit in his dream. His head ached just like the first time as he had dreamed of the Dancing Lersi Hermit God. The sculptor immediately donated the statue to Luang Por Choo, with the staunch faith in the fact that these were the ones who the Lersi had said would come to take him.

As he offered the statue, his affiliction disappeared again. The Devotees offered money to the sculptor for the statue, but he did not want a single penny for it. But he asked that when the metal statues were made from the original, that he would recieve one of them, instead of the original.

This Lersi Bucha statue is thus created by the spirit of a Lersi hermit God himself, through telepathic communication over two different locations, and brought together by Magic to become Manifest. Its Sacredness is of the Highest Calibre,being Miraculous even long before its creation as a Bucha statue. Many Bucha statues bring Miracles, but few are born of Miracles. This one is Born of a Miracle by the hand of Lersi Paetchalugan, who chose his own sculptor and displayed the posture to sculpt him in before the eyes of the sculptor. Lersi Paetchalugan also chose for himself which Master should make Bucha statues from the sculpture, and then brought all the Causal Circumstances together, for Fate to allow it to happen.

In Olden times, the Wai Kroo used to only be performed before the Throne or in the Royal Courts, and was a Blessing for those who were honored to participate in this Auspicious State Ceremony.

Paetchalugan was the only Deva who could follow Shiva Nakaraja's Dance, and was awarded the status of the Patron deva of all the Arts and Sciences, including the Dancing Arts.

In the dancing Deva Posture of Pang Samer Thaera, he possesses 108 Blessings and 1009 Special Powers. He once sat in Meditation and attained the Highest Abhinya, and was complimented by the Lord Buddha, as having equal powers to the Arahants themselves. The words 'Samer Thaera' actually mean 'Equal to the Arahants'. In the moment he was complimented, Lersi Paetchalugan sprang up and performed this Dance. This is why the Dancing Posture of Paetchalugan is called 'Pang Samer Thaera', which is a posture of Joy.
