Pra Rahu Kam Duang, Luang Pu Nen Gaew – Baramee Pu Jao, Wai Kroo 2555. Presenting what is now a rare lassic from the golden days of Modern Thai Amulets when the most powerful modern masters were most prominent (2540-2555), the Rahu Kam Duang (Eclipse God to improve your karma and fate) from Luang Pu Naen. Made from Nuea Samrit (Sacred Bronze Alloy with high quantity of smelted ancient artifact metals). Empowered each night during a 3 Month 'Traimas' retreat by LP Naen in his Kuti, and finally given a massive major empowerment with Puttapisek ceremony. The front face features Pra Rahu eating the Moon, with a Buddha Image on its forehead, and Sacred Khom Incantations embossed on the bottom.
The Rear face is filled with Muan Sarn Maha Lap Maha Choke (Sacred Powders with powers to increase Luck, Good Fate and Prosperous Fortunes). Three Takrut Serm Duang for improved Karma and Fate are inserted, along with a Garuda bird for the Power to overcome and rise above obstacles, enemies and dangers, and a sprinkling of sacred Ploi Sek Maha Pokasap blessed gemstone fragments for wealth attraction.

Pon Tong District, Roi Et Province. The name of the series, “Baramee Pu Jao, Wai Kroo 2555,” signifies a dedication to the Great Ancestral Teacher and the annual Wai Kroo teacher-honoring ceremony held in that year. The master mold of the Pra Rahu Kam Duang image was created under the direction of Luang Pu Nen Gaew Kampiro, abbot of Wat Ban Gaset Tung Sethee.
This amulet series was consecrated in a major Maha Putta Pisek ceremony held at Wat Ban Gaset Tung Sethee, Roi Et Province, on Saturday, 31 March 2012.
Luang Pu Nen Gaew Kampiro, formally titled Pra Kroo Palat Eknarin Kampiro, is a respected monk renowned for his mastery of the Sarika Pak Dee lineage, an esoteric tradition associated with eloquence, attraction, charm, and prosperity. He is widely regarded as the principal inheritor of this lineage and is often referred to as the Jao Tamrap Sarika Pak Dee, the custodian of the original formula.
He is also known by the epithet Reusi Ta Fai, the Fire-Eyed Hermit, a name reflecting both his perceived inner radiance and his disciplined spiritual conduct. Born into a poor family, he first entered religious life as a Brahmanical ascetic, studying mantra and ritual sciences, before later ordaining as a Buddhist monk. He subsequently received his ecclesiastical title and became abbot of Wat Ban Gaset Tung Sethee in Roi Et Province.
Although comprehensive biographical details such as exact birth year and birthplace are not widely documented, amulet circles consistently describe Luang Pu Nen Gaew as a forest-tradition practitioner devoted to Vipassana meditation and highly skilled in mantra-based disciplines. His sacred objects are therefore believed to emphasize attraction, mercy, prosperity, invulnerability, Putta Pisek and protection.
Consecration Rituals and Ceremonial Context
The consecration of the Pra Rahu Kam Duang amulets took place during a Maha Putta Pisek ceremony at Wat Ban Gaset Tung Sethee, with Luang Pu Nen Gaew presiding. The ceremony was held on Saturday, 31 March 2012, and included the participation of respected monk-masters from across the northeastern region.
Rituals included formal chanting, meditative empowerment, the casting of sacred metals, the recitation of Pra Rahu mantras, and traditional Buddhist protective verses conducted according to ancient ritual frameworks. These rites were intended to enable the amulets to support destiny, reverse misfortune, and strengthen prosperity and compassionate influence. Saturday was selected as an astrologically auspicious day, regarded as especially potent for Pra Rahu-related rites.
Sources from the period mention the participation of several well-known northeastern monk-masters, including Luang Pu On Yarnasiri of Wat Si Chan Gaew in Leuy Province, Luang Pho Kan of Wat Mai Mueang Patum in Yasotorn Province, and Luang Pho Tong Kam of Wat Tha Tong in Khon Kaen Province, among others. Additional rites included the casting of Buddha images, the blessing of holy water, Wai Kroo offerings, and overnight chanting to imbue the amulets with auspicious power.
Putta Pisek, Materials and Variants
The Pra Rahu Kam Duang, Baramee Pu Jao, Wai Kroo 2555 series was produced in multiple materials and sizes for both wearing and altar display. Documented materials include white metal alloy, satin-finished bronze, ancient-style silver alloy, enchanted metal alloys, and powdered coconut shell materials, both plain and gold-leafed. Production numbers varied by material, with limited editions for certain premium versions.
The design typically depicts Pra Rahu holding or eclipsing the Moon, following classical iconography. Many versions feature takrut embedded on the reverse, and some include three silver takrut to enhance prosperity-related qualities. Certain versions also bear a Garuda emblem on the back, symbolizing elevated destiny and sovereign authority.
Promotional descriptions emphasize the powdered versions as containing specially prepared esoteric substances associated with old reusi lineages, focusing on luck and attraction, while metal versions emphasize durability and suitability for daily wear. Collectively, the amulets are believed to support prosperity, commercial success, mitigation of inauspicious astrological periods, protection from harm, and the strengthening of personal destiny.
In addition to the Pra Rahu Kam Duang, other sacred objects were reportedly released alongside the Wai Kroo set, including Pu Jao Saming Prai figures, Reusi Ta Fai images, and related ritual icons. The Pra Rahu amulet, however, remains the central focus of the Baramee Pu Jao Wai Kroo 2555 series.

Drawing on Pra Rahu’s dual nature as both bringer of trials and transformer of fortune, this amulet stands as a comprehensive embodiment of ritual belief, cosmology, and living amulet culture within contemporary Thai practice.
Pra Rahu is a divine being who appears in both Brahmanical–Hindu mythology and Thai Buddhist tradition. In Thai Buddhist lore, Asurintra Rahu is said to be the being who uttered the word “tassa” in the opening phrase of the Namo Tassa Bhagavato Arahato chant, a formula widely recited by Buddhists and traditionally used in the worship of Pra Rahu.
According to the most widely circulated myth, Pra Rahu was originally a celestial being named Sornbhanu. Consumed by jealousy toward the Sun, he attempted to seize and swallow it. Indra responded by hurling his divine discus, splitting Pra Rahu’s body in two before the Sun could be fully released. As a result, Pra Rahu survived only as a head without a body, becoming a liminal being—part deva, part asura. Driven by resentment, Pra Rahu periodically swallows the Sun and the Moon, giving rise to solar and lunar eclipses. When scorched by dharma or light, he releases the celestial bodies, restoring cosmic balance. For this reason, Pra Rahu is traditionally associated with misfortune, karmic obstacles, and shadow forces, sometimes described as a lunar demon. At the same time, Pra Rahu is also revered as a powerful benefactor who can transform adversity into fortune.
In Thai belief, Pra Rahu is invoked to bestow wealth, charisma, attraction (maha sanaeh), mercy, popularity, and success, particularly for those born on Wednesday night, Saturday, or Tuesday. Offerings made to Pra Rahu often include black items such as century eggs, black coffee, or other dark-colored objects, symbolizing his dominion over eclipse, obscuration, and unseen forces.
Within Buddhist cosmology, Pra Rahu is regarded as a deity who governs karmic trials. When properly venerated, he is believed to reverse past misfortune into renewed opportunity. Devotees attribute to Pra Rahu the ability to support insight into cause and effect, promote commercial success, dispel malevolent influences and dark sorcery, and enhance luck and worldly gain. These beliefs are reflected in sacred objects bearing his image, especially amulets known as Pra Rahu Kam Duang, which are believed to support destiny, strengthen maha sanaeh, improve trade and livelihood, and provide protection from danger.
