The Rian Putta Singh Sorng is a classic coin amulet of Wat Sri Bun Rueang in Mukdaharn, Nakorn Panom. it is a beautifully designed coin, which has had many repeat editions throughout the years, the first of which was released in 2518 BE, and which continue to be released every few years on important occasions.
The Pra Putta Singh Sorng (also known as Luang Por Singh Sorng), is a very famous and Sacred Buddha statue of the Province of Nakorn Panom, and which is revered by the people of Mukdaharn, especially during the Thai Songkran New Year Festivities, when the Buddha Image is carried around the town to recieve its traditional water bathing ceremony from devotees ('Song Nam Pra').
This amulet is in pristine condition, and hence an extremely attractive and desirable exhibit for its perfect condition, making it a very presentable coin for competition entry.
The legend of this statue says, that during the time in History when Mukdaharn City was a great City State, the the Lord Pra Jao Kinaree travelled from Mukdaharn to Vientiane in Laos, to bessech the Putta Singh Buddha statue to come and reside at Wat Sri Mongkol in Mukdaharn.
Sometime thereafter, the Buddha image was invited to be moved to reside at Wat Sri Bun Rueang in Mukdahartn, where it has remained until this day.
The Rian Run Sorng 2nd edition coin received a very large Buddha Abhiseka Blessing Ceremony on an equal par as the first edition, with the presence of a large number of the greatest Guru masters of the Isan North eastern Provinces attending.
Very few coins were made in this edition, which is as rare as the first edition, and almost as highly favored (Niyom), for its Kong Grapan Chadtri, Klaew Klaad protective power. One of the top preferred amulets of the Mukdaharn Region.
