Real Silver Fancy Frame Amulet Case, with Rhinestone inserts and 'Ya Rachawadee' Coloured Glaze. This frames is for amulets, measuring 3 Cm wide (at the widest point), and 4 Cm high. The framed casing is Intended for use with the standard size/shape models of Pra Khun Phaen Pong Prai Kumarn Type Amulets of the traditional variety.
The casing has a Silver Frame border with rhinestones, surrounding an acrylic transparent window pane for viewing the amulet within. The silver borders of the frame are decorated with painted Ganok Lai Thai decorative effects, with rhinestones on the flanks of the frame, and one rhinestone on the top of the arch on the front side of the amulet. We provide a solid silver pendant hoop for the amulet which is included, but not in the below picture. We attach the pendant hoop after you make the purchase, to avoid premature rubbing from friction before use.
The edges of the frame have beautiful decorative patterns, which complement the beauty of the silver frame. Silver frames are a genre in themself for amulet aficionados, as the silver itself tends to slowly darken and take on character with age, as the years pass, which many people enjoy both the new shiny effect when first encased, but also the character of the silver as it ages. This is not the case with solid gold frames, which do not develop burnished finish over time.

Of course this process takes many years, and you can care for the case to maintain it without burnish if you prefer by keeping it clean, but the amulet scene tends to prefer to allow silver cases to darken naturally and slowly take on their matt tone, on a parallel with the amulet inside it, which then ages at the same rate and speed. This results in the amulet, and the case, becoming ever more fitting with another, as they age together on their journey through time, as you wear it over the years. As an amulet ages, so the frame it dwells in, should develop character at the same rate.
Below; An example of a Pra Khun Phaen Pong Prai Kumarn encased in this frame to help you imagine the look after encasement (Please Note; amulet must be purchased separately). The frame will fit all amulets of this particular Pim, which is a very popular pim found in many editions from many temples, being an all-time classic design made famous by Luang Phu Tim Issarigo of Wat Laharn Rai
