A magic wand hand carved from a type of holy wood called Mai Koon. This kind of wood is obtained from a sacred tree. The tree is considered sacred because it is the kind of tree where a deva resides in. The tree was cut with the permission of the inhabiting deva, on the condition that the wood would be donated to Luang Por Prohm to make amulets with. After the wood had been given to Luang Por Prohm, he stored it in the temple of Wat Ban Suan, and performed frequent empowerment sessions to increase its magic qualities. When the holy wood was hand carved in the shape of these magic wands, Luang Por Prohm then made holy prayer water to bless the wands with, whilst chanting invocations.
Hence, the mai kroo is a magic wand made and blessed by Luang Por Prohm for the adept practitioner who engages in ritual practices. The magic wand is, first and foremost, a ritual instrument for making holy water, performing excorcisms, spell casting, and even healing. When used to make holy prayer water, the magic wand can increase the magic power of sacred objects soaked in the bowl with holy water. Due to the enhanced power of the holy prayer water blessed with the magic wand, one can spray the holy water onto one's wares and goods to increase sales. Similarly, using holy water has many benefits when applied in several healing practices. Apart from that, holy water also contains blessings of protection.
How to Make Holy Water ('Nam Montr')
The Mai Koon holy wood is filled with sacred ingredients, and sealed with a metal tip. Also, there are sacred spells written upon the dark brown surface of the holy wood. These spells are written in an ancient Cambodian variant of Sanskrit, known as Agkhara Khom. Luang Por Prohm performed the sacred spell inscriptions by hand, and blessed the magic wands one by one, using the authentic wicha of the Khao Or tradition.

Thus, the mai kroo also is empowered with Khee Bpen Khee Dtaay sorcery of the Khao Or lineage, making the wand capable of controlling and channelling good and evil energies.
The ritual instruments made by Luang Por Prohm are all blessed according the authentic wicha of the Dtamnak Dtak Sila Khao Or Southern Academy of Sorcery, which thereby make these sacred items highly preferred among serious practitioners of ritual magic. However, a Buddhist wand is often also a favorite tool among healers and Reiki practitioners, because it is very useful and effective to remove inauspicious energies, to restore the balance of the flow within the chakras, as well as to transmit subtle prana energies.
