Final Edition Carved Bone Palad Khik Phallic amulet by Luang Por Hluea Wat Tha Mai Nuea. Made the deceased and highly revered Gaeji Ajarn Master Monk of Wat Ham Mai Nuea temple, in Uttaradit; Luang Por Tong Hluea Bpālidtō (Born 2452 BE - Passed Away 2545 BE). This is a small sized hand carved bone Palad Khik, and is due to its size, also highly recommendable for Ladies, as well as devotees who prefer a more subtle and elegant amulet, or to conceal it from others. The Palad Khik measures 3 cm long, and is easily concealable from people you do not wish to know you are using magic on, due to its Miniature size. Luang Por Hluea (officially 'Luang Por Tong Hluea Bpālidtō.
Luang Por was Ordained as a Bhikkhu (Buddhist Monk) into the Sangha, on 15th April 2488 BE, at the temple of Wat Klang, in Bang Koh, Uttaradit.Luang Por Fai Siri Mankalō of Wat Klong Po (Uttaradit), was his Upachaya Ordaining Officer, with Pra Ajarn Prasit (also of Wat Klong Po temple) as his Pra Gamawājājārn, and Pra Ajarn Prasongk, of Wat Prachātibadtai, as his Pra Anusawanājārn Witness.
After Ordination, LP Hluea focued on studying the Pariyatti Dhamma academics of the Buddhist Canon, until he attained his Masters Degree in Dhamma Studies. During the years he took to get his Masters, he performed all sorts of duties at the call and bidding of his Kroo Ba Ajarn, LP Fai, as well as undergoing intensive study and practice of Wicha Akom Sorcery under the tutelage of LP Fai, as well as receiving Wicha from Luang Por Glom, of Wat Bang Gapee, who was a very highly acclaimed Master Monk of the times, famed for his powerful Adept Magical Arts., and powerful amulets.
Luang Por Hluea also laid his hand to the intensive practice of Tudong Forest Wandering and Vipassana Kammathāna Mindfulness Methods, and Jhanic Meditation, for many years, which is a cause and component of psychic power, and the inner source of magical knowledge. Luang Por traveled for many years in solitude, through the forests of Thailand, Burma, Cambodia and Laos, developing his self mastery and adept-hood in all facets of his practice, until he attained the powers and insight necessary to be able to help others (if you can't help yourself, then how can you help others? - this is why a true practitioner masters his own mind, and finds his way out of suffering, and thereafter only, can one point the right way to, or perform any magical feats, to help others).
Luang Por Hluea became Abbot of Wat Tha Mai Nuea in the year 2492 BE, and of course, will have been releasing amulets, ever since his instatement as Abbot (an event any temple would celebrate with memorial amulets, for obvious reasons). He was eventually raised in status to become a Pra Kroo Sanyabadt, which is a Royal Decree of extreme altitude, given only to the most highly attained monks, who have devoted their lives to the Buddha Dhamma and Sangha.
This endowing of Royal Status and Recognition must also have had amulets made and released to celebrate the event, but no official historical documentation of the event was made, so it remains an unknown, but one can assume, if one has a very old amulet of this Master, that it could have been released in such an event. If we go solely by what documentation can be found, we can see his first edition 'Rian Run Raek' Cameo Monk Coin amulet, was released in the year 2534 BE, which is 42 years after he became the abbot of the temple. It is of course impossible, that no amulets were made in the 42 years he spent as Abbot of the temple before that.
This obviously shows that documentation of his amulets, only began 42 years after his initiation as Abbot of Wat Tha Mai Nuea. It is impossible that a Master-Monk who was a Tudong Master Adept of Buddha Magic would wait 40 years and more before making amulets, after developing his powers in the forests meditating in solitude, in order to develop abilities to help others. Hence, we can assume with certainty, that Luang Por Hluea's amulets will certainly trace as far back as 2500 BE, if not before that.
Another thing that makes it very hard to study in depth, is the fact that Luang Por Hluea's amulets are very rare and hard to encounter for study, so many people have tried, and failed to catalogue his full pantheon, due to the non-availability problem. What is for sure, is that his Palad Khik, were, and still are among the most preferred talismanic amulets of LP Hluea, and we can certainly admit that this Palad Khik Graduk Gae hand carved bone exhibit, is the only one we have found from this master in all our 25 Years of study, and 13 years in Business. It is said that with his custom hand made/carved amulets, and special Takrut, he would only make a maximum of 9 per session, empowering them in high focus and small quantities, to concentrate the Magic.
Some of the more well known, and therefore generally favored amulets of Luang Por Hluea, are his Rian Run Raek Hlang Yant Sam Gler Kin Nam Bor Diaw 1st edition metallic monk coin, with powerful Metta Maha Niyom Orientated Magical Yantra Spell on rear face. 5000 coins were made, some in Nuea Albaca and some in Nuea Tong Daeng.
His second official edition, released in 2539 BE included a series of amulets, including the Roop Lor Muean Loi Ongk Statuettes of Luang Por Hluea, the now extremely rare and fervently sought-after Takrut Tone Riak Sap Ngern Lan amulet, which became famed for its power to attract immense wealth increase at rapid rate with merchants. His Takrut Tone Sao ha Metta Scroll Spell, equally famed, for the empowerment, performed by LP Hluea taking the Takrut into the Nan River, and sitting in meditation under the water to empower them. Other amulets such as Palad Khik, Pha Yant and talismanic charms were also issued in the ceremony. Apart from such special empowerment, the edition was previously blessed by LP Hluea in solitary, every night throughout the year, within the Uposadha Prayer Room ("Pra Uposot' in Thai).
In 2544 BE, LP Hluea released his 92nd Birthday 'Khong Dee Mueang Pichai' Edition of amulets, which was to be his last ever edition, as he died the following year. The edition included oval and oblong Roop Muean Cameo Lockets of Luang Por Hluea, Metallic and Sacred Powder Pra Pakawambodee (Pra Pid Ta), Pra Sangkajjai, and Met Gradum (Button shape) amulets, amongst other talismanic items such as Palad Khik, Takrut, Look Om, See Pheung, Pha Yant, and the Like.
Luang Por Hluea served the temple and devoted his life to the Buddhist Folk, and developed the temple throughout his life, until his passing in 2545 BE, after 57 years of service to Buddhism. LP Hluea was also respected for his love of animals, and that he would take in stray cats, dogs, and any animal in need, which the devotees would bring to the temple, and he would care for them, even the fish would receive the remainders of rice from alms bowls of monks, and the area around the temple became an official animal sanctuary, forbidden to harm, kill, or hunt.
Historically, The Palad Khik first began to be used as a portable amulet, through being carved from magical natural substances, such as wood which was from the Cassiafistula Linn variety of tree, which has medicinal or healing properties. Different substances are believed to possess different Magical Properties and Powers. Ancient Folk, would then use the Palad Khik, when traveling cross country; If they had to drink water from a stream, or other natural source which may have bacteria or dangerous amoebas, they would take the Palad Khik, and use it to stir the water before drinking it, to remove any danger of illness. Palad Khik is not only applied for preventing dangers and illness, but is seen to possess all other kinds of magical properties, such as Metta Mahaniyom (Preference, Popularity, Friendliness, Love, Compassion, Receiving Generosity, & Mercy Charm), as well as Choke Laap (Luck and Fortune), Successful Salesmanship, & Power of Attraction.
When the Gaeji Ajarn would make Palad Khik, they would have learned and researched the correct creation methods and ritual process to empower the amulets, in addition choosing auspicious and magical kinds of trees for the wood used to carve them out of. They would then inscribe sacred Khom Agkhara and make incantations of Kata to increase the magical charge and the strength of faith the devotee would have in such an amulet. Over the ages, many rumours and legends of Palad Khik performing miracles of Kong Grapan Klaew Klaad magic, and Lucky Fortune, the popularity and demand for such talismanic charms increased over time, to the point where locals would flock to the various Gaeji Ajarn around the country to seek Palad Khik. This remains true to this day in Thailand.
