The amulets were hand carved in three types of sacred 'Mai Payung' wood - 1. Mai Payung Dam (black wood) 2 mai Payung Daeng (red wood) and 3 Mai Man Pla (white wood). This example is made from Nuea Mai Payung Daeng (red sacred Payung magical wood).

All of these amulets have recieved hand carved inscription of sacred prayer and spells along with a numbered code on each amulet made with Luang Phu Gliang's sacred ancient 'Hlek Jarn Pid Ta' (a very ancient magical inscription device which has Pra Pid Ta invoked within it). The Pra Pid Ta is an image representing a Buddha Entering Nirodha covering his eyes (to retreat from the outer sense organs).

The rear face of the Pid Ta has hand made inscriptions, and a limited edition series number embossed on it. The amulets were all individually hand carved and thus have their own individuality and personal empowerment from LP Gliang, and were made to celebrate Luang Phu Gliang's 105th year.

They are an extremely special edition, with very sacred Pong Puttakun sacred powder and Pong Mai Tep mani Kote Saksit (sacred gem Deva powder). Yant Gao Dee and Sip Dee are inscribed on the back side. In our opinion, these amulets are one of the most important amulets to be released in that year.

The Jaroen Porn 105 Pi edition range of amulets have been created to raise funds for the rebuilding of the Wat None Gaed school which LP Gliang built 40 years ago, and which is now in dire need of reconstruction. Other amulets in the series include a range of 'Rian Roop Khai' and 'Rian Met Daeng' coin amulets in various saxcred metals and luxurious enamels, some powerful Hanuman Loi Onk statuettes, for which Luang Phu is famous for his Wicha of Hanuman amulets, and some sacred Meed Mor magic ritual knives.

Pra Pid Ta amulets, as well as Pra Pid Ta in form of Pha Yant, and Bucha statues, have been produced as objects of reverence and protection since very ancient times in Thailand. The artisans of that time created various styles and interpretations using the various periodic influences of Buddhist art and sculpture available at the time.

Various Deity forms were used to make the Pid Ta posture (‘Pid Ta’ means ‘covering the eyes’) – various Buddhas or Bodhisattvas or Deities are fashioned into the posture of Pra Pid ta, or Pid Tawarn (meaning ‘closing the orifices). Pid Tawarn can close 7, or 9 orifices (seven being called ‘Pra Pid Sadtatawarn’ and nine being called ‘Pra Pid Navatawarn’).

The Pra Pid Ta is considered to be an amulet with ‘Maha Ud’ and ‘Kong Grapan’ power (invincibility and gunstopping power), but is also made as a wealth bringer, in which case, the amulet will be called ‘Pra Pid ta Maha Lap’. In order to inflect a greater resonance for wealth attraction and auspicious blessings, in addition to the Maha Ud and Kong Grapan magic, ancient artisans sometimes would use the image of the Sangkajjaiyana Buddha of riches and happiness, and carve it in the Pid Ta posture.

The Pid Ta amulet is one of the most popular of Thai amulets, and has been made by so very many temples and masters from all Provinces, that it is now classed as an important member of the Benjapakee family of classic top five types of Thai amulets.
