This version of the Sompochana edition Luang Por Tuad Rian Sorng Midti features a monk coin made from an alchemical alloy of nine sacred metals and a silver image of the Thai Buddhist saint Luang Por Tuad.
The coins bear the image and the invocation of Pra Luang Por Tuad of Wat Chang Hai and Wat Pako. The monk coins were released in 2556 BE, at the temple of the world's tallest standing Luang Por Tuad statue, which is, of course, Wat Mae Takrai in Chiang Mai Province. This edition is an essential acquisition for any devotee of Luang Por Tuad and any collector of his amulets, and of course, for those who seek protection and auspicious blessings of lucky fortunes and wealthy professions.
The front face features a silver image of Luang Por Tuad standing with a 'glod' (tudong forest wandering umbrella), resembling the image of the world famous statue at Wat Mae Takrai. The front side of amulet is engraved with the series code and the kata Iswaasu. Also, it has the numbered code etched into the surface. This state of the art laser etching is a new and perfect way of preventing fakery, for indeed, the price of a laser etcher defeats the object of the forger, which is to make money, not spend it. Laser engraved editions are therefore rarely able to be successfully faked, and for this reason have a high probablility of future inclusion in the 'Pra Niyom' category of masterpiece collector class amulets. This is because of their ease of authentication, through inspection of the laser etched code alone, without further investigation needed.
The rear face of amulet has four blessings written around the edges: (1) plord pay ('safe and sound'); (2) klaew klaad ('invincible to deadly accidents'); (3) ram ruay ('rich as a millionaire'); and (4) ngern tong ('gold and silver'). Luang Phu Tuad sits around the four cardinal points of this yantra, which contains the Hua Jai Kata Potisat of Luang Phu Tuad:
Na Mo Potisadto Aakandtimaaya Idti Pakawaa.
Due its small size, the sacred metal amulet is very apt for women and children. In fact, it is an entirely unisex amulet, which means it can be worn by men just as well. However, its purely auspicious Buddha magic with anti black magic power is especially valid for one's children, for it offers them protection against the asura yaksa, djinn, demons and ghostly beings, who often victimize children by entering their bodies, thereby transforming into viruses, which make them ill.
The Buddha abhiseka blessing ceremony for the Luang Por Tuad Sompochana edition was held on Sunday the 3rd of March in 2013 (2556 BE) at Wat Mae Takrai in Ampher Mae Orn in Chiang Mai. A massive number of monks were present for the ceremony, including some of Thailand's top masters.
The edition was made to raise funds to complete the exterior finish of the base and statue of the highest standing Luang Por Tuad image in the world at Wat Mae Takrai, which was built in 2551 BE. The statue alone is standing 25 meters high, but measures 45 meters high including the base. Thus, this is a meritorious thing to support, and for which hopefully, Luang Por Tuad will reward his devotees with great blessings of the four primary requisites in life.
The edition features monk coins in sacred copper, brass and alpaca, nava loha, nava loha with solid silver image of Luang Por Tuad, solid silver, and solid silver with solid gold image of Luang Por Tuad. In addiiton, some 7 inch high bucha statues were issued as smaller replicas of the original statue at Wat Mae Takra, which have a Luang Por Tuad coin inserted into the base, made from sacred brass alloy with a black matt finish.
The amulet comes in the original box from the temple. But it can, of course, also be encased, if desired.
